AGRI MACHINERY:
NE had imported 6000 Tractors DT 14B, T 40 and Belarus in the years 1965-1970 and 300 Bulldozers C 100 and are associated with USSR for several decades.
NE is presently importing and marketing Power Tillers from China and market is very promising.
COLLABORATION:
Present Power Tillers are being manufactured with the collaboration of International Rice Research Institute of Manila at its factory in Ambattur. NE has sold 3500 Tillers to enhance the agricultural operations and help the Small & Marginal farmers mechanize their agricultural operations.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT: NE has also a recognized Research and Development Wing authorized by Ministry of Science and Technology. The technology for Power Tillers will be upgraded with the modern technology available with collaborators from South East Asia / China. Tiller with Three Furrow: Plough and puddler are recommended for us in wetland and for dryland a three furrow plough and a comb harrow cum leveler. IRRI cage wheels are recommended for sinking soils.
Reaper attachment: The reaper is very useful in areas with labour scarcity. National is the only tiller that can be used for reaping paddy and wheat crops with a reaper attachment. The performance of the reaper is very promising and the returns high. It is cost saving. Only 3 persons are needed to cut crop per acre. The reaper has a capacity of approx. 4 acres per day resulting in a saving of Rs.600/- per day (approximately) subject to optimum crop, soil and moisture conditions.
Versatility: National Power Tiller allows increased usage throughout the year as it offers versatility of application. National Tiller can also be used as a prime mover for such applications as reaping puddling, pumping, spraying, threshing, hauling a 1 ton capacity trailer. Thus, National offers a wide range of farm machinery to complete all farming operations. The reaper facility is presently available only on National Power Tillers making it unique.
Low Turning Radius: National Power Tillers has a very Low Turning radius thereby enabling it greater maneuverability.
